Special Good Wishes to all my wonderful new bloggy friends - those who are Google subscribers and also all my other readers. May you have a wonderful Christmas and much happy blogging henceforth!
I love your Christmas card - all your illustrations are delightful. I have been catching up on your previous posts and enjoying a good chuckle. I like sprouts as well as chocolate, though not together! Hope 2009 will be a good year for you and that the economic gloom will not affect you too much. Best wishes to all at Necky Knoll House.
Hope you had an excellent Christmas. I assume you'll be going to the sales soon? I hear Neckst and Bourne and Knollingsworth have some very good bargains!
A happy Christmas to you too. Mine was quiet but pleasant with six around the grand Christmas lunch table on the verandah. I liked your lovely tribute to your wife. My late husband was my greatest fan and I really appreciated his encouragement. Enjoy this last week of 2008. I am pleased to hear you are a Rupert the Bear lover too. I was and both my girls were (now grownup).
I think of myself as quite an ordinary giraffe really. Very much a family man - couldn't be without Maureen, she's my inspiration in everything. (Maybe I'm not so ordinary after all - Maureen certainly isn't, and neither are the kids!) I'm rambling ...
Maureen keeps me gently in Giraffe World when I get carried away with my more convoluted ideas. She's always serene and calms everyone just by looking at them with her beautiful enigmatic eyes. She's also a brilliant saleswoman!
Nexi and Necky Becky squabble a lot, as sisters do. Nexi is totally focussed on design and her boyfriend, and likes the world to accommodate this. Necky B. is rather a grumpy little rebel. She's dyed her fur pink and goes everywhere with her Neckshund dog, Hals.
Littl' Nicky is the baby of the family. I think he takes after me - he's quite a philosopher. (The others say his utterances make a lot more sense than mine!)
I worked for 17 years as an accountant, but always felt there was more. The elusive 'something' that you know you should be doing, but you're not quite sure what. Then suddenly - right idea, right time! Now you have to stick your neck out and go for it ...

Thank you Heather! I'm planning some fun new posts for 2009.
(I'm going to have to try sprouts and chocolate together now!...)
Have a lovely Christmas and I look forward to seeing more of your wonderful textile art in 2009.
Merry Christmas, Raph, to you and yours! :D

Thank you friends, we have had a splendid Christmas.
Chris - thanks for the tip - Maureen and Nexi have picked up some great sale bargains, including a superb Latin/Giraffe dictionary for me.
Eleanor - I'm thinking of asking our eldest daughter Nexi to knit me a Rupert-style scarf!
