A Lovely Snowy Evening Walk!

After our nexuberant Sledging Party last night we had run out of hot chocolate, so I volunteered to walk in to Neckelchester village to buy some more. It was early evening, and I decided to go through the woods instead of by the road, and what an enchanting walk it was!

Everywhere was so still and peaceful. There is a tranquillity about woodland in the snow that cannot be found anywhere else.

Coming back, the stars shine in the magenta sky. I have hot chocolate in my bag, and I am happy.

Looks like they sent the right guy- Those short fellows would not have been able to see their way through the snow, would they? You are a good pal!

Thank you Linda Sue! I am one of the taller giraffes of our family and friends which can be helpful! Lots of us have got together to dig out the snow today, and Nukkle is doing a grand job - he's got the most muscle!

Ah yes, Rosemary - we've drunk so much of that hot neckchocolate that I may have to walk out and get some more today!

I've just had a hot chocolate Raph - very comforting. Your winter wonderland is so enchanting. Keep warm - I'd knit you all scarves but they'd have to be so long I'd run out of wool!

Oh Heather, scarves knitted by you would be wonderful! But you would probably have to go to a wholesaler for all the wool!

I'm now drinking my third hot chocolate of the day!

A starry sky, pristine snow and hot chocolate - a perfect combination.

What a nice walk you had in all that snow. You are lucky to have had that hot chocolate waiting for you on that cold walk.
Keep yourself warm!

Ooh, Weaver - so glad you are back - I'm coming straight over to yours to see how you are!

I'm so glad you love our world, Arija! We had a lovely walk in the falling snow today, and saw all kinds of trees, and lights in our little village, and the stars above.

My wife loves hot chocalate - though I'm not sure I'd walk for miles neck-deep in snow through wintry woods to get her some!

Hope you returned safely to a warm fireside.

Oh, I'm sure you would, SW!

We're all round the fireside now, singing and eating toast.
