Hearty, Healthy Takeaway Meals!

All the seasonal talk about dieting is making me think about food constantly ...

It therefore seems like a good time to give you a little 'taste' of Girth's hearty healthy takeaway meals. There is not really a lot I need to say about them other than that they are delicious, highly nutritious and exceedingly popular. It would appear that the residents of Neckelchester hardly cook at all, so in demand are the Gleeful & Greedy meals!

Maybe one day Girth will let me post one or two of his secret recipes!

I will go straight for the flango mango, please!! do you deliver?? :) (ps--I agree, you'd think they'd WANT to make it easy for me to give them lots of money! this is the third time I've spent all day trying to pay the darn rent. Today I finally succeeded, thought!)

Hi Raph,

Kindly ask Girth to send round:

Spicy Parsneck Soup, Knollshire Patties and Giraffe-in-the-bath Pudding.

I'm looking forward to my lunch!

I'm glad I can now be a follower!

What I want to know is - where are the Neccles Cakes and the Giroffee Pie?

Marigirl - Girth does deliver, though it would probably be a little cold by the time it reached you! Hmmmmm - Gleeful & Greedy Intergalactic Deliveries! If we had the technology ...

Derrick - How many light years is planet Earth from Camelopardalis?

Maybe I can talk Girth into giving us the recipes for those!

Thanks for following!

SW - Yum, yum - they sound good! I'll see what Girth can come up with!

I'm all for the healthy part, but have to give up the hearty bit for a few months - girth, yes, that's what I've achieved! not a proud accomplishment!

Jeane - maybe it's time I did a Necky Knoll Workout video. Everyone else seems to be producing them! I could certainly do with some nexercise with all this blogging!

Raph, I would love to interview you, but you must send me your email address so I can forward my questions to you!

I would have to opt for a double portion of Giraffe in the Bath pudding - is it served with custard, cream, ice-cream or scented bath water?

Raph G. Neckmann said...

Willow - Thank you! I shall send it now ... Giraffitude! Goodness, I've gone all nervous ... interview!

Raph G. Neckmann said...

A double portion, Weaver? My choice exactly! It is served with any combination of custard, cream or icecream including all three with chocolate sauce too! But no-one has ever eaten it with scented bath water ... how about blackberry whisky?

Salinbonani, dear friend!

Yes, mangos are in season here. So that mango recipe sounds good. Here is my fave, so easy:

1 Slice ripe mangos in a pretty glass bowl (very messy!)
2 Cover with full cream joghurt (I prefer Greek or Bulgarian)
3 Sprinkle with brown sugar and chill.

Very scrumptious!

I am working on the word Giraffe in 11 different SA languages. You will get notification soon!
Have a happy weekend!
Totsiens (Afrikaans for farewell)

Salinbonani Eleanor!

This mango recipe sounds delicious, and simple enough for me to make without Girth's help ...

Thank you.

Looking forward to the 11 giraffes!

A lovely weekend to you too!

Totsiens!

I like your little dog, what breed is he?

Raph G. Neckmann said...

This appears to be a definite favourite, Pamela! I must publish the recipe soon ... Would this be Edward's choice too?

Raph G. Neckmann said...

Thank you Acornmoon! He is a Neckshund dog, and his name is Hals.
